This is a short list, not a phone book. Here is exactly what a listing does — and does not — promise. A listing also means they are an HVAC IS LIFE member, with access to the highest standards we teach: quality, craftsmanship, and honest service.
The bar
A legitimate business
A real company with a real Google Business Profile. Not a lead broker, not a placeholder page, not a spam listing.
4.0 stars or better
Their public Google rating was 4.0 or higher on the day a human checked it.
20 reviews or more
Enough public reviews that the rating means something rather than reflecting a handful of friends.
Manually reviewed
A person on our team opened the profile, read it, and confirmed it isn't spam. No scraping, no automated scoring.
No pay-to-play
Nobody can buy a spot, buy placement, or buy their way back on after removal. Listing is free.
What it does not mean
- • It isn't a guarantee of the work, the price, or the outcome on your job.
- • It isn't a license, bond, or insurance check — verify those yourself before hiring.
- • It's a snapshot. A company's rating can move after we check it.
How a listing comes off the list
Manually, and for a logged reason. If a company drops below the bar, gets suspended on Google, or a credible concern comes in, our team reviews it and removes the listing. Removal is a human decision, not an algorithm.
